Colonial Dance Program
All members of Colonial society danced, from kids to slaves to the aristocracy. “Virginians will dance or die” wrote an 18th-century diarist. What better time than the 21st century to learn a few “new” dance steps and learn the role of dance in Colonial America from a historical perspective.
The group will be asked to join in and learn both the etiquette and steps to 3 or 4 different dances.
